Exposing the corruption and abuses done by pastors within evangelical churches in the Philippines
On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther pinned his 95 thesis at the All Saints Church in Wittenberg Germany. In his thesis, Luther outlined his stance against the abusive practices by the Roman Catholic church in selling plenary indulgences, which were certificates which would reduce the temporal punishment for sins committed by the purchaser or their loved ones in purgatory and thus the protestant reformation was born.
Fast forward to the 21st Century and once again, corrupt practice has creeped into churches. Inspired by the Trinity Foundation's now defunct "The Wittenburg Door" a satirical publication that satircal humurous publication that scoofs at the corrupt practice of American evangelical churches, The Wittenburg Door PH (Philippines) embarks on this mission to expose the corruption wtihin evangelical churches.
Most corruption within evangelical churches are swept under the rug and many do not have some sort of external check and balance system or a proper grievance machinery. Before we publish we investigate the scandals. If an information is emailed to us, we verify it first in order to be sure that we will not be used for vengeance or to destroy an innocent individual. If somebody is published here, it means we have done our homework and the said person or institution deserves to be here.
We hope that through this website, we might be able to provide that check and balance and that through our efforts, corruption within the church may be weeded out in order that the church of our Lord Jesus Christ may become spotless and blameless until He returns. Soli Deo Gloria !

The Bible says in 1 Timothy 3:1-4 that a pastor must be a good man whose life cannot be spoken against. He must have only one wife, and he must be hard working and thoughtful, orderly, and full of good deeds. He must enjoy having guests in his home and must be a good Bible teacher. He must not be a drinker or quarrelsome, but he must be gentle and kind and not be one who loves money. He must have a well-behaved family, with children who obey quickly and quietly.
The pastors featured in the rogues gallery below are exactly the opposite of the qualifications above. They are sexual predators, lovers of money more, dishonest, no integrity at all and immoral. What is worst about this is that they stand in their pulpits every Sunday and make condemning judgements against the "supposed" sins of their members, the very sins, they have no qualms they themselves keep on committing. None of the entries here are libelous. Every entry here is well researched and backed by evidence. Some these evil pastors are still in office because their scandals has ben swept under the rug. We at the Wittenburg Door wish to rectify this error and this grave injustice.

Reuben Lumagbus Jr, otherwise known popularly as Pastor "Jun" Lumagbus is one of the most popular preachers in the Philippines among the independent Baptist. Having been in the ministry for almost 40 years, Pastor Jun as he is often called has trained hundreds of pastors through his stint at the Baptist Bible College of Katipunan Cebu and youth leaders through his being youth pastor of the same church under his KAYA ministry (Katiunan Youth Alive) He is the "swiss" army knife as the Cebu Bible Baptist Church as he functions not only as Bible School instructor, youth pastor, assistant pastor, choir director, Sunday school director, Sunday school teacher for the adults class and does baptism form time to time. Add to to that his regular preaching schedules during Wednesday or Sunday morning and evening if the senior pastor is not present. Pastor Jun is considered as popular as a lot of independent Baptist consider him as among those who gives a "good" sermon. (That it is by their standards)
You might think that all is well and good with this man. Having been annointed as the "presumptive" heir to one of the Philippines' mega churches with close to 10,000 in attendance every Sunday, Pastor Jun seemed to be living the good life. He was serving God while getting paid well and enjoying the perks of being a pastor such as world travel, gifts from faithful followers and members and the adoration of thousands.
But little did a lot of people that Jun Lumagbus was living a life of hypocricy. Must more recently one of the biggest scandals in Philippine Independent Baptist history just blew up. Pastor Jun Lumagbus confessed to having an immoral relationship with one of his young people for 16 years.
16 years ? How could anyone who is said to be a "new creature" in Christ live like that ? What is worst about what has happened is that, Pastor Jun Lumagbus is known to be very judgemental and will strongly condemn anybody who he sees as living a "sinful" lifestyle. He is one of the most unloving, judgemental, having a pharisee like attitude preacher.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, the scandal has blown into magnitude proportions. We have received reports that even before the year 2000 (more than 16 years ago) he has already been linked with several women aside from this one that he has confessed to having a relationship with. With regards to this woman he was in a relationship with it has been found out that he has been warned several times already with regards to his rumored immoral associatoin with other women and has been confronted by several church members already. The lying two faced hypocrite kept on lying about it until he was confronted with evidence that he could no longer lie about.
To make matters worst, it has been recently found out that throughout the years he has served as pastor, he has been pocketing donations intended for the church. He has also been known to borrow from church members without paying them back. Talk about hypocricy.
The Pastor Jun Lumagbus scandal is one of the worst scandals in the history of Bible Baptist Churches. He has since been removed from office. However according to intelligence reports, there seems to be a debate as to whether he was dealt with too harshly considering the number of years he has served in the church. A lot of loyalist wants him restored while there are those who believe he got what he deserved. As always it has always been our position at the Wittenburg Door that a fallen pastor should never be restored back to leadership as he has disqualified himself from that sacred office.
